Ratsia Kothi is situated on the eastern end of Uttar Pradesh on the holy Pulin bank of the river Ink. It is a popular belief that, returning from Mithila to Ayodhya, Rama, along with Sita, had blessed this earth by night's rest. Evidence of this mythological belief is the present-day pilgrimage here, 'Janaki Kutia'. In the middle of the kothi is the Tapasthali of Bahadhut Baba. Earlier Chah Kothi was of Nilhe Firangi. The inexplicable incident of Bihar and the first incarnation of Gandhiji on the horizon of Indian politics is a solid event of our history.
